ENTRY-LEVEL REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL

Working in the Real Estate Department with Paralegals and Attorneys. The Real Estate Department is looking to hire an entry-level paralegal. In-house training will be provided. The person filling this new position will be expected to assist the Department paralegals and lawyers with the following tasks:

  • Retrieving, updating and/or preparing information with respect to client property files
  • Organizing documents and preparing closing binders
  • Maintaining a property database
  • Ordering and obtaining recorded documents from title examiners
  • Recording documents at all registries in Massachusetts
  • Organizing diligence materials and diligence follow-up
  • Preparing for closings
  • Preparing basic forms and documents

The ideal candidate will have the ability to take initiative, to work independently (with minimal supervision) and to show proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel and Word. Occasional overtime (generally with notice) will be required. Paralegal Certificate preferred.

Ideal candidates will have a college degree and 3+ years of paralegal experience within the corporate and real estate fields. Experience with corporate filings, Securities, UCC searches, and corporate maintenance is desirable. Some experience with closings, title searches and recordings is helpful.
