Litigation Section Seminar

Fundamentals of Electronic Discovery

This presentation is designed to give paralegals an overview of the electronic discovery process following the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).  It covers the steps from records management and litigation hold to production and presentation of documents.

The presentation discusses and explains basic terms associated with eDiscovery, best practices for collecting data from your clients and the best format of production to request at a meet and confer.  It also covers developing technologies designed to defensibly reduce the burden and expense of working with large amounts of electronically stored information.

This presentation will help paralegals work more easily with their clients so they can receive electronic data in a format that is easier and less costly to work with.  It will also help better prepare them for the meet and confer so that they can request the best form of production from opposing counsel.

Presented by Matt McCloskey, Esq. and Michael Flaherty, Target Litigation Consulting, Inc.
