Governance of the MPA

Before any action can be taken, it must first be determined if the action is in compliance with the governing rules and documents for the MPA, in the following order:

  1. No action can be taken that is inconsistent with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in which MPA is organized as a non-profit corporation.
  2. MPA Restated Articles of Organization, as amended, currently on file with the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth.
  3. MPA Amended and Restated By-Laws.
  4. The rules contained in the current edition of Roberts Rules of Order. The Roberts rules govern MPA in all cases to which they apply and in which they are not inconsistent with numbers 1 through 3 above.
