Please join the Massachusetts Paralegal Association for its 2015 Annual Meeting and 40th Anniversary celebration.

5:30pm – Registration, Vendor exhibits, Cocktail reception
6:30pm – Dinner
  • Welcome remarks by MPA President
  • Financial summary by MPA Treasurer
  • Voting results / Announcement of 2016 officers

Dinner Menu – Salad and bread to start, your pre-selected choice of one of the entrees below and Valrhona Chocolate Ganache Torte with coffee or tea to finish.

  • House-Smoked Scottish Salmon, roasted tomato and fennel pollen broth, mascarpone & saffron risotto, braised chard.
  • Brick-Roasted Chicken Breast, potato gratin, vanilla and almond vin blanc, pan reduction, roasted seasonal squash.
  • Pan-Fried Porcini Risotto Cake, garlicky spinach, crispy shallots, grilled asparagus, sherry reduction (Vegetarian).
7:30pm – Guest speaker: Constance McGrane, General Counsel of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, who will speak on "Celebrating Civility and the Role of the Paralegal".

She is the chief legal advisor to the Commissioners and agency on all matters concerning the agency and the cases before it. Prior to her present position, she was a partner at Conn Kavanaugh where she specialized in employment and business litigation matters and provided counsel to individuals and corporations. Before joining the law firm she was an Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Bureau Chief of the Business and Labor Protection Bureau of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. In this role she was responsible for the internal management of the Fair Labor Division, Insurance Fraud Division and Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, development of policy and the prosecution of select criminal and civil cases. Her professional experience also includes work as in-house counsel and litigation manager for a multi-national high technology company where she was responsible for employment litigation, commercial litigation, intellectual property matters and investigations. Before her in-house position, she was a Junior Partner at Nutter McClennen & Fish and associate in the Business Litigation section of Burns & Levinson. She is trained and certified as a mediator. Ms. McGrane received her Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University.
