The Anatomy of a Deed
Please join REBA’s Paralegal Section for a webinar at 12 noon on Thursday, October 24th. Annelle Benson and Antoinette Gondella, both Senior Underwriting Counsel at First American Title Insurance Company, will present.
Our panelists will offer an overview of the different types of deeds, grantor/grantee clauses, proper signatories/acknowledgements (including take title in and out of trusts, entities and probate), tenancy, and acceptable descriptions. Additionally, they will discuss relevant and curative statues, REBA title standards, and tips on drafting to avoid common pitfalls.
If time permits, our speakers will also touch upon conveyance by means other than a deed.
